Hello new dispenser!
So today, I finally brought in the new water dispenser for Bina Bhakti. I know that it's been quite some time since I've planned on the purchase of the dispenser (which was back in April or so). But exams came in the way and, well, finding the right water dispenser was a bit tricky. Firstly was because I was working on a budget and second because we needed the dispenser to have a safety lock for the hot water faucet.
Bina Bhakti does have water dispensers in their kitchen and main office. But they don't have a water dispenser in one area of the home where the severely-ill elders reside (severely-ill refers to a range of illnesses from stroke to being extremely physically weak or have chronic illnesses). The omas and opas there generally have amnesia, so when they previously encountered a water dispenser, they kept playing with it and had their hands (mildly) scalded by the hot water. So the caretakers would have to boil water on the stove in order to serve hot water to the elders. Obviously, this is very laborious and troublesome for the caretakers.
I finally found a supplier a few days back and quickly had them deliver the dispenser to us, just in time for a visit this morning.
After setting up the dispenser, one of the opas, opa Leo, came over and wanted to learn how to use the dispenser. So I spent a bit of time to teach him. Opa Leo is mute, but he was very excited, and his animated expressions was such a dear. See for yourself in the video below.
In any case, I hope that the omas and opas enjoy their warm water :)
