Indonesia is a country where STEM training programs are prevalent. It has come to a point where non-STEM programs are overshadowed; their role is undervalued in our nation's growth. Oftentimes, a country's growth and development is reflected through its service industry—the better Indonesia's service industry, the more our country prospers.
I found that even after the workers undergo these technical education and TRAINING, they were not equipped with the soft skills of hospitality. These skills include generosity, empathy, communication and interpersonal skills. In one, every and any industry -- be it from the engineering perspectives to the arts -- without soft skills, one cannot thrive.
